Sydney turns 4!!

wow time is flying by with these kiddos!!!! She will turn 4 this sunday March 11.She is super excited and counting down the days...literally!! I don't remember the boys being this into it at all! So much for a bday theme though because she picked out Lalaloopsy toys,Dora napkins,plates,cups,and Strawberry Shortcake bday cake! Oh well,its her day and thats what she wants :) My little princess is growing up way too fast!!

What Is Hemophilia?

Hemophilia (heem-o-FILL-ee-ah) is a rare bleeding disorder in which the blood doesn't clot normally.

If you have hemophilia, you may bleed for a longer time than others after an injury. You also may bleed inside your body (internally), especially in your knees, ankles, and elbows. This bleeding can damage your organs and tissues and may be life threatening.

Overview

Hemophilia usually is inherited. "Inherited” means that the disorder is passed from parents to children through genes.

People born with hemophilia have little or no clotting factor. Clotting factor is a protein needed for normal blood clotting. There are several types of clotting factors. These proteins work with platelets (PLATE-lets) to help the blood clot.

3 out of my 4 kids have Hemophilia.I have 2 boys with it,8 and 3,both severe.My daughter is a carrier and has mild Hemophilia.I am a carrier as well.We found out our 2nd son had it when he was circumcised and wouldn't stop bleeding.I found out I was a carrier with my 3rd pregnancy.

Some may wonder...and I know they do....why would we keep having kids knowing I carry this?Well.....we take risks everyday just walking out the door!!!! ANY pregnant woman takes a risk with EVERY single pregnancy!Our risk is 50/50 with each pregnancy.My kids are my LIFE and I wouldn't trade it for the world!!!! It has made me appreciate my kids even more.And you what?Even though what they have is horrible...it could ALWAYS be worse! Obviously,more than likely these ppl who have these thoughts,probably luckily have "healthy" children and can't possibly understand our lives. I get the same thing on the size of our family! Some ppl question that as well.So,no matter what,there will always be ppl out there to question something.

While my kids aren't 100% "healthy",they are perfect to us and at the end of the day,THAT'S all that matters! If you are reading this and are lucky enough to have healthy children....don't take it for granted!!

First appt and U/S today!!

I got to see my little peanut today!! He/she is doing good.Heart rate was 115.I go back in 5 weeks and I'll be 12 weeks then.So far so good :)Cell phone pics,but here he/she is!!

Elijah turns 3!

My little "baby" turned 3 :( Even though he has the most attitude I have EVER saw on a 3 year old,he's still my baby! I've said it a million times and here's once more...i have never...in my life....saw a kid like him!! I think a lot of it though comes being younger and learning from the older ones!! I have no doubt he will be able to take up for himself when he's older! The only time I ever get to love on the little bugger is at night time:( Happy 3rd bday Elijah Cade!!

Halfway to the 12 week mark!

Today,I am 6 weeks along :) it seems like forever before the 12 week mark will get here! My first appt is next Thursday and praying we see the little heartbeat! I've been trying to stay busy to keep my mind off of it but thats hard to do! But this weekend we are celebrating Elijah turning THREE(wow!!!)with his spongebob theme of course(!) and taking him to Chuck E Cheese and finishing up our living room floor stuff ,then Monday is his bday,then Tuesday is V-Day,then Wed. ballet class so maybe the week will go by faster!

BTW,did I say THREE??!!!! My baby is turning THREE!!:(

My pregnancy test journey/results!

Sydney had to get retainers.......

I took her to the dentist yesterday  knowing she was going to get her "appliance" but I just figured it was going to be like a simple retainer we could take out!Nope,it's permanent for now.I always thought she had an overbite but in fact,the dentist said her bottom jaw is sitting back to far.So,they installed a "Twin Block".It has four purple sparkly "blocks" ..2 on each set that makes her bite down correctly and will reset all the jaw muscles and the jaw itself.She was a little trooper and still says it don't hurt!
